So we have all seen the movie and all the T.V. shows and whatnot. OMFG 2012 end of the world! You know that movie was probably a bad idea. Now that people are obsessed with it. They are probably gonna sell all their shit and spend their life savings to try and build a bunker or something. Then come to realize....hmmm nothing happened. Yet the idea itself is probably going to tear us apart...imagine....the anticipation of waiting over the next 2 years. Then in the last month of December or the night before the 21st....panic. chaos. looting. People will probably just go nuts and destroy themselves. The one thing I have gathered for a FACT is that the Mayan calender ends. And a knew cycle starts or something. It is the end of that 5000 year old somethin or other lifetime. And the begining of another one. Now the question is did the Mayan's simply pick that date by chance? Or did they know something that was going to happen. Seeing as how there is alot of history unaccounted for...we may never know. Unless that this event is just destined to happen soon. Personally it must have something to do with the solstice because that date is just too specific. But then again since they chose that date it just leads me to believe that it was simply the start of a new cycle. I really don't think anything catastrophic is supposed to happen....but I am not excluding it.
As far as I can see there are quite a few possiblities to speculate on. One being the cataclysmic event that happened in the movie. At least to some extent anyway... And another being that if the ancient astronauts theory is true....that perhaps that is when they planned on returning. Or maybe the Earth enters some type of new cycle in which the poles start to shift again. Or the axis tilts again. Or another ice age. Who freaking knows. The point is to not get all scared about it. If you think about it to much you will start obsessing over it and driving all your friends crazy about it. Even if you are right you are still gonna be a nuisance to everyone lol. Especially when you start rubbing it in their face when it happens.
Well like I said...the most likely thing is we are going to just destroy ourselves. Then everyone is going to feel really stupid afterwards...
